I’m an aspiring writer, working in lots of genres. You can hear my friends and I talking about books and writing on Write Club The Podcast. My short story, Passengers, won the RAC Short Story Competition on the theme Driving In Europe. I’ve written a few spoof Murder Mystery plays that are popular with Am Dram groups and work well as an evening with dinner. I was delighted to win the Grand Words play writing competition for my short comedy The Agios Dyonisios Writers’ Circle in Blackpool a few years ago. I have contributed to several blogs, including that of my good friend Charlotte Betts. You can read my guest travel blog about the Greek island of Elafonisos over at Travels with Albertine. I have won the Daily Telegraph Just Back travel writing competition twice. The first time was in January 2018 for a piece I wrote about New Year’s Eve in Greece. You can read a version of this in the excellent Inside The Mani 2018 magazine which is free to download. I won again in January 2019 for an article about Dublin in December.
